Autumn Equinox Afternoon Retreat: Movement, Meditation & Sound Bath in West London

  • London, England United Kingdom (map)

Join meditation practitioner & Finding Quiet founder Ciara McGinley alongside yoga teacher & KIN founder Laura Pearce for an afternoon of wellness in West London.

Mark the turning of the season with a restorative yoga flow, nature-inspired meditation & intention setting practice, and a deeply nourishing sound bath to help you align with the subtle shifts of the natural world.

Your Journey

  • Set in Ravenscourt Park’s secret garden, land in the beautiful Glasshouse Yoga Studio, enjoy a cup of herbal tea and meet your kindred spirits for the day.

Full details of location/how to find the studio will be sent after booking.

  • In this session, we will get to know the concept of SPANDA on and off the mat.

In the ancient Sanskrit tradition, Spanda means "to throb" or "to vibrate." It's the recognition that all of existence moves in sacred rhythm: the heartbeat, the breath, the seasons turning, waves rising and falling, even our thoughts emerging and dissolving.

Spanda teaches us that life itself is pulse. Not the static perfection we sometimes chase, but dynamic flow - expansion and contraction, effort and ease, holding on and letting go.

  • Enjoy post-movement refreshments provided by our lovely sponsors.

  • Connecting with the body, the breath and the nature around us, we’ll take this time to reflect on the season that’s past and practice a nature-inspired visualisation meditation. From this grounded presence, we'll then plant seeds for the season ahead with a personal intention setting practice.

Your journal becomes sacred ground where insights land and integrate, and where the day's discoveries can continue their work long after you leave.

  • We’ll close out the day with a soul-soothing sound bath. Together we’ll make space to let go of what no longer serves us, release the weight we’ve been carrying, and gently return to the heart of our intentions.

As the seasons shift, this will be our moment to ground, restore, and welcome balance into our body, mind and soul.

  • Holding close the insights of the day, you’ll head home feeling lighter & brighter with a goody bag of wellness gifts from our kind brand partners.

Laura Pearce

From physical limitation to spiritual liberation, my Yoga journey began as a necessity rather than a choice. Born with a heart condition that left me constantly sick and with breathing difficulties, I fell down the most magic rabbit hole searching for ways to improve my breathing, and my wellbeing. I not only overcame my respiratory challenges, but my journey led me to achievements that I could never have dreamed of; scaling mountains at oxygen-thin altitudes and freediving to depths that once could only represent my deepest fears.

Today I guide others through practices that honor both limitation and possibility; I believe that our greatest challenges often lead to the deepest wisdom, and our obstacles can become pathways of growth and healing. I've achieved things I never thought possible, and I love helping others do the same. I teach high-profile corporate clients, I run my own Yoga studio space in west London, and founded the ultimate wellness brand; Kin Yoga Mats in 2020.

My classes are soulful, challenging, a little wild, non-dogmatic, and riddled with breathwork.
